Back in the early 1980's, Edmond (Ned) Morin had a love for power equipment and wanted to open a power equipment store named after his only son, Robert Patrick. Ned went to the Town to have the property, that was owned by his mother, changed from Residential to Commercial. The family home remains on the property to this date. Not long after having the zone changed and creating the logo for the store he dreamed of, Ned realized how much he disliked the New England weather and packed up and moved to sunny Florida.
In 1992, Robert met his wife, Alaine, and discussed his plans and desires to open the store that his father had always dreamed of. In the months to follow, Robert and Alaine set into motion the necessary steps to get started. After many site plans and board meetings, in 1995, five days before Robert and Alaine were to be wed, the Town of Prospect granted them permission to open a power equipment store, RPM Power Equipment, Inc. Excited by the wonderful news, the construction began and by God's grace the business was built and the doors were opened on June 1, 1996.
Since opening RPM Power Equipment's doors on June 1, 1996 the Lord has blessed Robert and Alaine's family beyond what they ever dreamed. Robert and Alaine work side by side at the store and occassionly you will get a glimpse of their daughter, Ashley. The store has since been enhanced over the years, and newly remodeled in February 2010 and the Lord continues to bless!
We welcome you to stop by and see our new showroom, you never know....you just may find a new power equipment item that's calling your name!
